What a Man

i have to write a post about my amazing, sweet husband. i have been sick since sunday night, so kobby has been on super dad duty and this morning he really outdid himself. he got the girls up and fed them breakfast (which he usually does anyway), and he also got out their clothes, brushed their teeth, got them dressed, did their hair, then took fin to school. it's not landry's day to go to school, but kobby took her with them just to give me more time to rest before having to get up and start the day. i so needed that. so, after all of that stuff he did, he finally went off to work to provide for us. he is so freakin great!!! i love him so! i am so blessed that God chose him for me and my girls. they have no idea how blessed they are to have him as their daddy, but they will soon enough. landry, in particular, really had a great time hanging with her daddy this morning and all they did was go to the car wash after dropping finley off at school. she adores that man and always wants to be with him. me too.


p.s....i went in my closet this morning to find that he had organized my shoes that have been laying in piles in my closet for months now. i am so thankful for him.

My Good Looking Fam!

we recently had family pictures taken and we LOVED how they turned out. our photographer really captured my girls personalities. they are both huge hams and i wouldn't change a thing about them. looking at the pictures also made me see how big my kids have gotten. they are no longer my babies and that makes me so sad, but so proud. i'm love how they love God, how they love my husband and i, and how they love each other. so here are some of the pics from our photo shoot. thanks melanie timmons photography!

Spending time with my baby girl

tuesdays and thursdays its just me and landry all morning until fin gets out of school. i love this time with her! it is such a departure from the constant yelling and fighting i go through when both girls are home. i'm amazed at how easy and sweet she is when its just she and i. i love it and man i love that girl!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FINLEY!

today my oldest baby turned 5. a sad, but wonderful day. sad because i know before long she won't need me anymore, but wonderful because she is becoming such an amazing little girl. year 4 was a very trying year for us with finley. she has really been going through growing pains and we have really been going through them with her. aside from all of that she still makes me smile on a daily basis. what can i say about my kid. she is outgoing, polite, sweet, she loves God, caring, smart, curious, loving, and funny.
finley has brought so much to our family and has made us all better. i believe God gave her to me to help me grow and make me a better person. i believe that is what all of the challenges are for and i am so thankful. fin requires a lot of me, which in turn requires a lot of patience on my part so i am slowly learning. she definitely keeps me on my toes.
things that fin is loving these days....spending time w/ her momma, reading, shoes, hummus, dancing, making up songs, rollercoasters, her little sister, waffles, nick jr., playing dress up, writing, taking pictures, and most things girly.
i thank God for this girl every single day. she is my little buddy that i just couldn't see myself going through this life without her. i am madly in love w/ her.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LANDRY FAITH!

my sweet girl turns 3 today and i can't believe its been 3 years. i prayed for a boy, but of course God knew what to do. she is exactly what our family needed and i don't know where we would be without her. she makes life.....better. everything is better because of her. she's so happy and healthy and loving. we could not ask for more. she's also smart, mischievious, laid back, she loves to antagonize her sister, she's funny and loves to laugh, she's nosy, she has a good heart, she makes me smile at least 10 times a day, and i think she is just beautiful. i never get tired of that face.

here's what lan is lovin right now:
strawberries, cheeseburgers w/ ketchup only, real flip flops, baby dolls, peaches, her daddy, mimicking mommy, tumbling, her dog brutus, kisses, her big sister, climbing anything, ignoring mommy and daddy, the color pink, her ducky pillow.

Museum with Daddy

kobby was off on labor day so we decided to take the girls to the museum, one of their favorite places. they were so excited to take himn by the hand and show him all of their favorite spots in the museum. after that it was lunch at the great outdoors (yum!!!) and then off to granny and papa's for swimming. great day!
